Established in 2011, it helps cover basic needs and transportation so individuals can focus on healing and recovery.
Chaplain’s Crisis Fund
The Chaplain’s Crisis Fund offers emergency financial assistance to patients and families facing severe medical or personal hardship. This compassionate program provides immediate relief for urgent needs like meals, transportation, and lodging during difficult times.
Diabetes Fund
Created in 2001, the Diabetes Fund supports medication, testing supplies, and educational outreach for individuals living with diabetes or at risk of developing it. Your gifts help promote healthier lifestyles and improved disease management throughout our community.
Karen J. Williams Alzheimer’s Fund
Created in 2015 to honor Karen J. Williams, this fund provides essential support to patients and families impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia, including medication, transportation, and respite care. Williams was the first woman Chief Justice of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Pink Ribbon Fund
The Pink Ribbon Fund offers hope and direct support to patients newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Contributions help provide essentials, emotional support, and resources throughout their treatment journey, ensuring no one fights breast cancer alone.
RCH Foundation Fund
Unrestricted gifts to the RCH Foundation Fund allow the Foundation to respond quickly to urgent healthcare needs in our hospital and community. These donations provide flexible support where it’s needed most - helping patients, funding vital programs, and improving the overall quality of care.
RCH Foundation Endowment Fund
Gifts to the Endowment Fund are invested for long-term impact. Only the earnings are used, ensuring the Foundation’s ability to serve future generations. Endowment gifts honor loved ones while strengthening the Foundation’s capacity to meet community health needs for years to come.
Women’s and Children’s Fund
Dedicated to women’s and children’s health, this fund supports obstetrics and pediatrics services at MUSC Health Orangeburg. Donations help provide vital care, comfort, and medical resources for mothers, infants, and young patients in our community.

“The Foundation at our hospital has made a meaningful difference on our Women’s unit by helping us provide thoughtful touches that we otherwise wouldn’t have funding for. Because of their support, we’ve been able to offer holiday-themed hats, books for moms and babies at discharge, and most recently, beautiful wooden birth announcement plaques to welcome each new arrival. These items may seem small, but they create lasting memories for our families during an incredibly special time. We are deeply grateful for the Foundation’s commitment to enhancing the experience of our moms and babies.”
